Terms of Service

Last updated: June 22, 2026

By using PurityRadar (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

What PurityRadar is

PurityRadar is an independent, informational resource. We aggregate public drinking-water records and present a 0–100 safety score, contaminant data, maps, and guidance to help you understand the water in your area. We are not a government agency, a water utility, or a laboratory.

Not professional advice

The Service is provided for general information only and is not a substitute for testing your own tap water, reading your utility’s official Consumer Confidence Report, or seeking medical, legal, or other professional advice. Our scores and figures reflect reported public data and may be incomplete, delayed, or contain errors. Always confirm critical decisions with your water provider or a state-certified laboratory.

Data sources & accuracy

Our information is derived from public sources including the EPA (SDWIS, UCMR5, ECHO), the USGS, the Water Quality Portal, and the US Census Bureau. We don’t guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data, and it may differ from the water at your specific tap.

Acceptable use

  • Don’t use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Don’t scrape, bulk-download, overload, or attempt to disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Don’t misrepresent our data or imply endorsement we haven’t given.

Intellectual property & third parties

The PurityRadar name, design, written content, and scoring methodology are ours. The underlying public records remain public. Product, brand, and provider names belong to their respective owners; any filters or providers we list are shown for information only and are not paid endorsements. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience, and we’re not responsible for their content.

No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PurityRadar and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decision made in reliance on the Service.

Changes

We may update the Service and these Terms over time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which PurityRadar operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
